The Good Tidings and Signs of the
Advent of the Master of the Creations

All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His forgiveness and guidance and we seek refuge with Allah from our own evil and ill doings. The one Whom Allah guides no one shall be able to misguide him and the one whom Allah makes misguided no one shall be able to guide him. I testify that no one is God except Allah, and that Muhammad is the slave and Messenger of Allah, may Allah raise his rank and protect his nation from what he fears for them, and the rank of every Messenger He had sent.

Thereafter, O slaves of Allah I order you and myself with piety and Godfearingness, fear Allah who bestowed His mercy upon us by sending Muhammad and revealed to the heart of His beloved one, Muhammad, verse 128 of surah at-Tawbah:

This verse means: A Prophet has come to you from amongst yourselves, who greatly sympathizes with your burdens, extremely caring for you and has plenty of mercy and gentleness for the believers.

Praise be to Allah and may Allah increase the honor and raise the rank of our Master Muhammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.

Thereafter, on the 12th of Rabi^ ul-‘Awwal of every year an honored and glorified memory shines over the whole world, and is commemorated by the entire Muslim world. Every honest Muslim participates in celebrating such an honorable memory to praise Allah for the blessing and endowment of Prophet Muhammad.

His birth sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam was in the “Year of the Elephant”. At that time a blasphemer king was ruling Yemen and Habashah (Abyssinia), his name was ‘Abrahah. When he saw that the people were visiting Makkah rather than his countries, and after hearing about the good things that were happening in Makkah he decided to destroy the Ka^bah.

‘Abrahah built a huge temple in order to divert the people from the Ka^bah. He tried to glorify this new temple by decorating it with lots of jewels and precious stones. After that, the king of Yemen and Habashah prepared a huge army with a huge elephant led by his men. When the Arabian tribes learned about ‘Abrahah’s intentions to destroy the Ka^bah, they fought to the best of their abilities. The tribes couldn’t stop the elephant or the army. The huge army kept going until they reached the borders of Makkah.

When ‘Abrahah was ready to destroy the Ka^bah, he turned his elephant towards it so they would demolish it, the elephant refused to move and sat idly. They tried to force the elephant to move but they did not succeed. When they changed the direction of the elephant to south and away from the Ka^bah he obeyed. They tried the north, the elephant again obeyed. When they turned the elephant again towards the Ka^bah, it would not move an inch.

The huge elephant refused to destroy the Ka^bah. Allah then sent birds from the sea with rocks placed between their legs and in their beaks. They threw them on that army until they killed them all. Al-Qurtubiyy said that the army was of 60,000 soldiers. In that year Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam was born. He was born in a place called “Suqul-Layl” in Makkah, it was called with “The Year of The Elephant” because Arabs used to name the year with the most significant event which took place in it.

The good news before his birth which appeared indicates his high status and rank, among them is that when ‘Aminah Bintu Wahb became pregnant with him, she said that she never felt the weight of the fetus, which resulted in an easy carriage. ‘Aminah said: While I was half asleep, someone came to me and asked me if I felt pregnant. I answered that I did not. Then he told me that I am pregnant with the master and the Prophet of this nation.

Some of the scholars, who authored about the Honorable Birth,   said that ‘Aminah Bintu Wahb became pregnant with the prophet on the night of Friday, the first night of Rajab. And that when she became pregnant with the Messenger of Allah, she used to see the birds surrounding her out of honoring the fetus in her stomach. If she ever sought water from a well, the water itself would rise to her out of aggrandizing and honoring the Messenger of Allah sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam. She told her husband ^Abdullah about that, he said to her: This is to honor the fetus you are carrying. She added: “And I used to hear the tasbih of the angels around me and I have heard something saying to me: This is the light of the Master Messenger. Then I dreamt of a star falling in my lap, and I heard someone saying: This is the Prophet, the Master Messenger.

It was also said that when the Prophet’s mother gave birth to him a light came out with him, illuminating what is between the East and the West. The Prophet sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam landed on the ground resting on his hands, with his eyes opened and looking towards the sky, and that he was born circumcised with no umbilical cord.

On the day Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam was born, the huge fire of the fire worshippers which had been lit for 1000 years to that day died out. The water of Lake Sawah (a city in Persia) dried out. Also, the palace of the arrogant dictator Kisra trembled, and 14 of its balconies fell to the ground.

All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His forgiveness and guidance and we seek refuge with Allah from our own evil and ill doings. The one Whom Allah guides no one shall be able to misguide him and the one whom Allah makes misguided no one shall be able to guide him. I testify that no one is God except Allah, and that Muhammad, is the slave and Messenger of Allah, may Allah raise his rank and protect his nation from what he fears for them, and the rank of every Messenger He had sent.

O slaves of Allah I order you and myself with piety and Godfearingness

Allah ta^ala says in His Glorious Qur’an, in surah al-Hajj, 1-2,

These verses mean: O people be pious and God fearing, for the rocking of the Day of Judgment is a great event, when you observe it each nursing woman shall be bewildered from what it is nursing ad every pregnant female shall deliver, and you shall see the people drunk like yet they will not be drunk, for the torture of Allah is immense.

O slaves of Allah I remind you that Allah has ordered you with a great matter, He ordered you with saying asSalah and as-salam for His choicest and most honorable Prophet; Allah said in surah al-Ahzab, 56:

This verse means: Allah raises the rank of the Prophet and grants him safety from what he fears for his nation, and His Angels say Assalah for the Prophet; O you who believed do say Assalah and As-salam for the prophet many times.

O Allah raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad and increase his prestige and honor and protect his nation from what he fears for them, the same as you bestowed on Ibrahim and the family members of Ibrahim, O Allah you are the Praised and Glorified one.

O Allah we have made a supplication to you so answer our supplication and forgive our sins and forgive that we have done injustice to ourselves. O Allah forgive the sins of the believers, male and female, those who are alive and those who have died. O Allah bestow upon us goodness in this world and in the Hereafter and protect us from Hellfire. O Allah make us guided and among those who guide others and do not make us misguided and do not make us among those who misguide others. O Allah cover our short comings and comfort our fears and make us satisfied toward our burdens and protect us from the evil of what we fear.

O slaves of Allah know that Allah orders you to do justice, benevolence and to be kind to your kin, and forbids you to commit vileness, unlawful matters and injustice, and admonishes you so you may remember. Do remember Allah the Magnificent and Allah will take care of you, do thank Him and He will increase your endowments, do ask Him to forgive you and He will forgive you, and be Godfearing and He will guide you out of your hardships.
