Some of the Merits of our Beloved Muhammad,
 sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam

All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His forgiveness and guidance and we seek refuge with Allah from our own evil and ill doings. The one Whom Allah guides no one shall be able to misguide him and the one whom Allah makes misguided no one shall be able to guide him. I testify that no one is God except Allah, and that Muhammad is the slave and Messenger of Allah, may Allah raise his rank and protect his nation from what he fears for them, and the rank of every Messenger He had sent.

Thereafter, O slaves of Allah I order you and myself with piety and Godfearingness, fear Allah who bestowed His mercy upon us by sending Muhammad and revealed to the heart of His beloved one, Muhammad, verse 48 of surah al-Ahzab:

This verse means: O Muhammad do not obey the blasphemers and the hypocrites and leave out harming them and rely upon Allah; indeed it is sufficient to rely upon Allah.

O Allah raise the rank and bless Muhammad and his family members and protect his nation from what he fears for them, Muhammad who received the saying of Allah in surah at-Tawbah, 128:

This verse means: A Prophet has come to you from amongst yourselves, who greatly sympathizes with your burdens, extremely caring for you and has plenty of mercy and gentleness for the believers.

Praise be to Allah and may Allah increase the honor and raise the rank of our beloved Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.

He is Muhammad, whom Allah has given manners that were all what the Qur’an ordered to do, he is Muhammad who accepts what the Honorable Qur’an calls to accept, he followed the manners and conducts that the Qur’an called for and abided by its orders. He never revenged on his own behalf unless when the boundaries of the Religion were violated, he is Muhammad whom ar-Rahman has sent as a mercy to this nation. He is Muhammad, the most courageous and brave man when confronting the enemy. He is Muhammad, who has never said “No” whenever was asked to give any worldly thing which is permissible to give, unless if it was something he could not find. He is Muhammad, the most truthful human when he talks, the most trustworthy person, and the best human to deal with.

He used to look to the ground more than looking to the sky, which means that he used to look to the ground longer than looking to the sky whenever he is silent and not talking; however, when he wants to talk he used to direct his sight to the sky as indication that it is the Qiblah of du^a’(supplication) and the place where mercies, blessings, and the Revelation came down from.

He did not use to focus his eyes in anybody’s face out of his extreme modesty, he is Muhammad; who was the most humble human being and the most generous person to his companions; among that is that he did not use to extend his feet while sitting with people out of respect to them.

He was the most merciful person to every believer, his mercy was not restricted only to the human beings, it included other than the humans like animals and birds; to the extent that the cat would come to him and he would lower the pot make it easy for her to drink; he would do that many times for any cat that would come to him.

He is Muhammad, who used to walk with the poor, needy, and the widow if they would come to him asking for something; he did not use to face any of the people with something that they hate especially those who used to sit with him; however, he used to treat them kindly unless the borders of the Religion are violated. If he is ever told about something that he hates about someone, he would say: “Why would some people do this and that.” He would never say: Why would so and so (mentioning the name) do this and that? unless the Religious wisdom calls for that.

Among the great mercy of the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, towards the creation is that it was said to him: “Why don’t you supplicate against those blasphemers who stepped on your back while you were praying, and those who made your face bleed, and broke your ruba^iyyah (it is the second upper teeth from the left or from the right)?” To that he answered:“I was sent as a mercy, I was not sent to damn people.”So he did not agree on supplicating against them instead he supplicated Allah for them by saying: “O Allah, guide Daws and made them Muslims.” They later become among the leaders in Islam, Daws is the name of a tribe in Yemen.

The Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, used to joke with his Companions just to comfort them and out of showing his love towards them because they were facing hardships at that time. He used to do that to make them release some of their stress; however, he used to say the truth because he is impeccable from lying.

He used to sit and eat with the slaves and never showed himself off in front of them and he said to say: “I’m just a slave; I eat as the slave eats, and I sit as the slave sits.”

So his sitting was a sitting of clemency, patience, modesty, he would be the first to say salam (salutation) to the one he meets, he would offer the one he enters his a place a pillow to sit on, or even a dress out of great generosity. He would say the truth whether in the state of satisfaction or in the state of anger as a clear sign of his impeccability, may Allah raise his rank and saves his nation from that which he fears for it.

O our Master, O Messenger of Allah, the one who brings delight to our eyes, we ask Allah to grant us your support.

O Allah, grant us the passion of the heart of your Prophet Muhammad, cure us with his support, and make the memory of his birth sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam come back to us with peace and safety O Allah, You are the most merciful.

The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, said:

It means: “If anyone innovates in our Religion a matter which does not belong to it, then it is rejected.”

Hence, the deeds are not accepted unless it agrees with the rules of the Religion. The issue of knowing the matters that agree or do not agree with the rules of the Religion cannot be achieved without knowledge, and knowledge is to be taken only from the scholars. So it is not enough to just read the books without acquiring this knowledge from the scholars.

In fact, some people fell in perdition and consequently commit blasphemy because they did not acquire the knowledge from the scholars directly; they just read the books of the scholars; and how about those who read the books which are full of: Lies, the dispraised exaggeration in the Religious matters, lying about the Religion, and likening Allah to His creations; we ask refuge with Allah from all of that.

Among such famous books which were slipped into the markets in the name of Islam falsely is the book called “Mawlidul-^Arus”. It is said in this book that Allah took a handful of His face and said to it: “Be Muhammad” so it became Muhammad.

This statement attributes to Allah ta^ala the parts. Allah ta^ala is clear from having parts or from being dissolved into things or from things. Allah said:

It means: “Nothing was born out of Him; so no one inherits Him. He is not the origin of anything and He did not originate from anything.”

So it is impossible that He has multiples or parts or that He is divisible, Allah is clear from that, He does not resemble any of His creations as He said in the Honorable Qur’an:

It means: “Nothing is like Him in anyway whatsoever and He is attributed with Hearing and Sight.”

The judgment for the one who believes that Muhammad or other than him is a part of Allah is that he is not a Muslim as Allah said in the Qur’an:

This verse means that the blasphemers said that some of the slaves of Allah are part of Him; they said that the angels are the daughters of Allah; we ask refuge with Allah from that.

Allah told us in that verse that those blasphemers have committed a clear blasphemy.

It is important to mention here that the book “Mawlidul-^Arus” was not authored by Ibnul-Jawziyy, because Ibnul-Jawziyy is among the great and top scholars of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama^ah. His belief is that Allah is not a tangible body which can be touched by the hand like the trees, stones, and humans; and that He is an intangible body which cannot be touched by the hand like light, darkness, and winds. Thus, He is not attributed with the attributes of the bodies like mobility and immobility. And how truthful was Imam Ahmad when he said:

It means: “Whatever you imagine in your mind Allah is different from it.”

Allah ta^ala says in His Glorious Qur’an, in surah al-Hajj, 1-2,

These verses mean: O people be pious and God fearing, for the rocking of the Day of Judgment is a great event, when you observe it each nursing woman shall be bewildered from what it is nursing ad every pregnant female shall deliver, and you shall see the people drunk like yet they will not be drunk, for the torture of Allah is immense.

O slaves of Allah I remind you that Allah has ordered you with a great matter, He ordered you with saying asSalah and as-salam for His choicest and most honorable Prophet; Allah said in surah al-Ahzab, 56:

This verse means: Allah raises the rank of the Prophet and grants him safety from what he fears for his nation, and His Angels say Assalah for the Prophet; O you who believed do say Assalah and As-salam for the prophet many times.

O Allah raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad and increase his prestige and honor and protect his nation from what he fears for them, the same as you bestowed on Ibrahim and the family members of Ibrahim, O Allah you are the Praised and Glorified one.

O Allah we have made a supplication to you so answer our supplication and forgive our sins and forgive that we have done injustice to ourselves. O Allah forgive the sins of the believers, male and female, those who are alive and those who have died. O Allah bestow upon us goodness in this world and in the Hereafter and protect us from Hellfire. O Allah make us guided and among those who guide others and do not make us misguided and do not make us among those who misguide others. O Allah cover our short comings and comfort our fears and make us satisfied toward our burdens and protect us from the evil of what we fear.

O slaves of Allah know that Allah orders you to do justice, benevolence and to be kind to your kin, and forbids you to commit vileness, unlawful matters and injustice, and admonishes you so you may remember. Do remember Allah the Magnificent and Allah will take care of you, do thank Him and He will increase your endowments, do ask Him to forgive you and He will forgive you, and be Godfearing and He will guide you out of your hardships.
