The Birth of The Chosen One
and the Leader of The Meritorious

All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His forgiveness and guidance and we seek refuge with Allah from our own evil and ill doings. The one Whom Allah guides no one shall be able to misguide him and the one whom Allah makes misguided no one shall be able to guide him. I testify no one is God except Allah, and that there is no similar to Him, and no opposite to Him, and no rival to Him, and no place for Him, and no format for Him, and no picture for Him, and no form for Him. My Lord is Exalted and clear of all of that and He does not resemble anything and nothing is like Him. He does not incarnate and nothing separates from Him; absolutely nothing is like Him in any way and He is attributed with Hearing and Sight.  I testify that our master and beloved and greatest among us and leader and the delight of our eyes, Muhammad, is the slave and Messenger of Allah and the choicest and most accepted to Allah, and he is the one whom Allah sent as a mercy to the worlds providing guidance and giving the good news of Paradise and warning from the torture of Allah, and that he conveyed the Message and fulfilled that with which he was entrusted, and delivered the sound advise to his nation; may Allah reward him for what he did to us the best of the rewards that Allah bestowed upon any of His prophets.

Praise be to Allah and may Allah increase the honor and raise the rank of our Master Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.

Muslim brothers, it is the memory which we are waiting for, it is the memory of the birth of the best creation and the beloved one to Allah, our Master Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam. The Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, was asked about fasting Monday he said:

It means: “This is the day on which I was born and the day on which I was revealed as a prophet.”

Imam Ahmad narrated in his Musnad that Ibn ^Abbas may Allah raise the rank of both of them said: “The Prophet sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam was born on Monday, revealed as a prophet on Monday, entered Madinah on Monday, and died on Monday.”

So celebrating his birth, and talking about the story of his birth, nursing, raising, his mode of life, his manners and traits, all of that, increase the love of those who love Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and increase the longing of those who long for him.

The night of his birth (Mawlid) is a great and honored night, its enlightenment is obvious; it is a superb night; its merits, goodness and blessing were revealed in what had dazzled the minds and sights.

On the night Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, was born, the palace of the arrogant dictator Kisra trembled, and 14 of its balconies fell off to the ground. The huge fire of Persia, which had been lit for 1000 years to that day, died out; and the water of Lake Sawah (a city in Persia) dried out.

The falling of 14 balconies was an indication that only 14 of the Persian kings were left, the last one of them was during the Caliphate of our Master ^Uthman Ibn ^Affan may Allah raise his rank.

The fire of Persia, which the fire worshippers used to worship, which used to be lit continuously night and day, was put out.

Lake Sawah in which the ships used to sail dried out.

Among the indications which appeared when the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, was born is that Iblis (the head of the devil) was veiled from knowing about the news cast in the heaven, he wrung a loud scream as he screamed when he was damned and when he was kicked out from Paradise. He also screamed when the Prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, was born and when al-Fatihah came down.

Aminah Bintu Wahb said: When I delivered the Messenger of Allah, I saw him raising his head toward the sky and pointing with his finger. Jibril then carried him and the angels flew carrying him. Mikail then wrapped him with a white dress from Paradise and gave him to Ridwan, who fed him straight from his mouth to his mouth as the bird does to its young

I was looking at him and I saw that as if he was saying: Give me more. Ridwan said to him: O you, the beloved one to Allah, you had enough, for every knowledge and wise patience that was given to every single prophet was given to you, so hold firmly to the steadfastness to Iman and Islam. The one who says what you say and follows your Law (Shari^ah) will be assembled with you on the Day of Judgment.

A caller then sounded: Take him to the Far East and Far West and present him to the places where the prophets were born. Give him the eliteness of Adam, the knowledge of Shith, the gentleness of Nuh, the khullah ( special level of acceptability by Allah) of Ibrahim, the satisfaction of Ishaq, the eloquence of Isma^il, the wisdom of Luqman, the patience of Ayyub, the voice annotations of Dawud, the strength of Musa, the detachment from the world of ^Isa, the comprehension of Suleiman, the medicine of Danial, the respectfulness of Ilyas, the impeccability of Yahya, the acceptance of Zakariyya  and give him all the traits, manners and conducts of all of the prophets and conceal him from the eyes of the humans, jinn, and angels for he is the beloved one to Allah. What an utmost bliss for the one who embraced him into her lap, and the one who nursed him from her breast, and for the houses which he resided in.

The birds said: We will look after him, and the angels said: We are more deserving of having him, and the beasts said: We will nurse him.

Allah ta^ala said (it is important to say here that this is not a verse of the Qur’an): “I am more deserving of the beloved one to me and My Prophet; I have Decreed that he will be nursed only by my slave Halimah.”

He, may Allah raise his rank, was born with congenital blackness of the eyelids, anointed with oil, happy, and circumcised.

When he was born, three angels rushed to his blessed appearance: One of them had a bowl made of gold, the second one had a pitcher made of gold, and the third one had a handkerchief made of green silk; they washed him with the water of the non-intoxicating wine which is different than the one of this world.

Aminah Bintu Wahb said: When I gave birth to the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, he landed making prostration (sujud) to Allah ta^ala; for he; may Allah raise his rank; is the most knowledgeable creature about the rank of the slavery to Allah and about the acts of worship. He is the most knowledgeable one amongst the slaves and amongst those who perform the acts of worship.

All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His forgiveness and guidance and we seek refuge with Allah from our own evil and ill doings. The one Whom Allah guides no one shall be able to misguide him and the one whom Allah makes misguided no one shall be able to guide him. I testify that no one is God except Allah, and that Muhammad is the slave and Messenger of Allah, may Allah raise his rank and protect his nation from what he fears for them, and the rank of every Messenger He had sent.

O slaves of Allah I order you and myself with piety and Godfearingness

Allah ta^ala says in His Glorious Qur’an, in surah al-Hajj, 1-2,

These verses mean: O people be pious and God fearing, for the rocking of the Day of Judgment is a great event, when you observe it each nursing woman shall be bewildered from what it is nursing ad every pregnant female shall deliver, and you shall see the people drunk like yet they will not be drunk, for the torture of Allah is immense.

O slaves of Allah I remind you that Allah has ordered you with a great matter, He ordered you with saying asSalah and as-salam for His choicest and most honorable Prophet; Allah said in surah al-Ahzab, 56:

This verse means: Allah raises the rank of the Prophet and grants him safety from what he fears for his nation, and His Angels say Assalah for the Prophet; O you who believed do say Assalah and As-salam for the prophet many times.

O Allah raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad and increase his prestige and honor and protect his nation from what he fears for them, the same as you bestowed on Ibrahim and the family members of Ibrahim, O Allah you are the Praised and Glorified one.

O Allah we have made a supplication to you so answer our supplication and forgive our sins and forgive that we have done injustice to ourselves. O Allah forgive the sins of the believers, male and female, those who are alive and those who have died. O Allah bestow upon us goodness in this world and in the Hereafter and protect us from Hellfire. O Allah make us guided and among those who guide others and do not make us misguided and do not make us among those who misguide others. O Allah cover our short comings and comfort our fears and make us satisfied toward our burdens and protect us from the evil of what we fear.

O slaves of Allah know that Allah orders you to do justice, benevolence and to be kind to your kin, and forbids you to commit vileness, unlawful matters and injustice, and admonishes you so you may remember. Do remember Allah the Magnificent and Allah will take care of you, do thank Him and He will increase your endowments, do ask Him to forgive you and He will forgive you, and be Godfearing and He will guide you out of your hardships.
