Ahmad and At-Tirmidhiyy produced from the route of ^A’ishah that she said: “ O Messenger of Allah, the saying of Allah in Surah Al-Mu’minun, Ayah 60:

وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوا وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَى رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ {60}

And those who have performed whatever they have performed of deeds of obedience with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;-

Is in reference to the one who steals, commits adultery and drinks alcohol while fearing Allah?” The Messenger of Allah said: “No, it is in reference to the one who fasts, prays and dispenses his charity while fearing that his deeds might not be accepted from him.” ( Al ‘Iklil fi Istinbat At-Tanzil—As-Suyuti)

O Allah grant us the sincerity in the deeds we perform and accept our deeds. Amin
