We are blessed and priviliged to follow in the footsteps of his eminence Shaykh ^Abdullah al-Harari.

The Messenger of Allah, sallAllahu ^alayhi wa sallam said: The best of charity is for the Muslim to acquire a knowledge (religious) and then teach it to his fellow Muslim. Narraated by Abu Dawud.

We are blessed and priviliged to follow in the footsteps of the prophet, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam, and his truthful follower his eminence Shaykh ^Abdullah al-Harari, may Allah bestow His widely encompassing mercy upon him.

THE OBLIGATION OF FASTING RAMADAN Print E-mail

THE OBLIGATION OF FASTING RAMADAN

Fasting the month of Ramadan is an obligation and a great worship.  It is among the best acts of obedience and among the greatest deeds, and in Fasting there is great reward.  Imam al-Bukhariyy related the Qudsiyy hadith that the Prophet said Allah said:

which means:  <<The reward of every good deed is multiplied from ten up to seven-hundred times--except that of the Fasting--which is usually done in sincerity and will be multiplied by as many times as Allah wills.>>  One of the doors of Paradise, named ar-Rayyan, is specified for those Muslims who used to fast in this world.  On the Day of Judgment it will be opened, and those who used to fast in obedience to Allah will be called to enter through that door.  Then ar-Rayyan will be closed, and no others will enter through it.

The month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the lunar year.  It is the best month of the year, as the night of al‑Qadr in Ramadan is the best night of the year.  Fasting became an obligation on the Muslims in the second year after the emigration.  Prophet Muhammed fasted Ramadan for nine years after which he died.

  Mission Statement and Objectives
Islamic Affairs strives to implement the teachings of Islam as per the guidance of the Qur’an and as practiced by Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama^ah, those who adhere to the methodology of Prophet Muhammad, sallallahu ^alayhi wa sallam.
The most important objective of Islamic Affairs is to spread the correct knowledge of the Religion—teaching Muslims and non-Muslims about Islam—by spreading the Islamic Obligatory Knowledge and supporting it with clear evidence.
Islamic Affairs set its objectives with the realization that victory over evil, triumph over heinous terrorism and prevalence of true and realistic moderation can only be achieved by spreading religious education and propagating goodness among people—knowing that society can only be reformed through piety and fear of Allah.

Print E-mail
